Frequently Asked Questions for Canada PR

There are three types of visas :

(a)FSW- Federal Skilled Worker (Requirement -67 points)

(b) PNP- Province Nomination Program(Depending on Occupation demand list and points system of province/state)

(c) FSTP- Federal Skilled Trade Program (Requires trade certificate of two years & job offer letter from Canada)

         a)FSW- Federal Skilled Worker  :

An applicant is able to live in any state or any part of Canada.

 

  1. b) PNP – Province Nomination Program :

An applicant is required to live in the state(can live in the entire state) that nominates him for a period of 2 years. He can stay in any area or region of that state.

  1. c) FSTP: Federal Skilled Trade Program

An applicant is required to live in the state(can live in the entire state) for two years from where he has got his offer letter.

This visa is based on Invitation to Apply (ITA). CIC (Canada Immigration & Citizenship) gives invitation to applicant based on his/her CRS(comprehensive Ranking system –Total 1200 points).

An applicant who can achieve desired CRS from selection factors  may get invitation for main application.

Client who has :

  • Master degree or two degrees (with one at least three years bachelor degree)
  • Age up to 30 years
  • IELTS band score (L-8.0/ R/W/S-7.0)

are more likely to get direct ITA from CIC.

  • A candidate can apply for PNP or to get offer letter to increase CRS score.
  • A candidate having provincial nomination gets 600 points and a candidate having job offer letter from Canada gets 200 points in CRS system.
  • Selection of province depends on its Occupation – demand- list (ODL). Your occupation must be in ODL. 
  • Each province has its own points system that includes various selection factors such as education, age, job experience , IELTS score, marital status, relative in Canada etc. It is compulsory to achieve required points of province.
  • Minimum requirement of IELTS is 5.5 bands to submit application for PNP, however, candidate should also satisfy the point system of respective province/state .
  • Minimum requirement of IELTS is 6.0 bands in each module for express entry profile, however a candidate should also have 67 points in total. You can refer this points table in “Check your Eligibility” tab. 
  • IELTS examination result is valid for two years. This result considers valid result to submit the application. At the time of main file submission a candidate should have valid IELTS result.
  • Spouse IELTS result is not compulsory but this result adds points in express entry profile. So, it is advisable to give IELTS examination.
  • Minimum bands requirement for spouse in IELTS is   L-4.5/ R-3.5/W-4.0/S-4.0. More bands of spouse will increase points in CRS.
  • Any person with minimum of 1 year of experience after completion of bachelor or master degree from the last 10 years is eligible to apply.
  • We have been doing PR visas since last 15 years. Our experience says that rules have only got tougher and application charges have become very higher over the years. Hence, if you are genuinely interested, the normal rule is :

     THE SOONER, THE BETTER.

  • An applicant has to follow the following steps for Express entry application :

  • The assessment process and IETLS preparation should go simultaneously as loading express entry profile needs both reports together.
  • Delaying process of assessment may result in facing 4-5 months of tougher rules and regulation.
  • Sometimes, clients are losing the opportunity to apply in the province due to a change in occupation demand list.
  • Moving to Canada has many reasons as an individual.
  • Canada is providing a good standard of living with work-life balance.
  • Ample job opportunities with justified wages give the maximum level of job satisfaction to employees.
  • Secure atmosphere leads to growth in the professional life of a person.
  • Normally, FSW takes 8-12  months and PNP takes 15-18 months from the start of the procedure to finally getting the visas.
  • However, the time could vary depending upon the rules that may change, getting the score of IELTS on time, changes in occupation list etc.

  • Clients with express entry profile can target Ontario, Alberta, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Manitoba ( if you have a relative/ friend staying there) and Saskatchewan.
  • Clients without express entry profile can target Saskatchewan and Quebec depending upon occupation demand list.
  • Yes… The client has to show settlement fund documents according to the size of the family.
  • Savings account and fixed deposits can be submitted as evidence.
  • The account holder can be an applicant, a spouse or in joint name.
  • All funds must be in a nationalized bank or international banks.
  • Funds must be in the bank up to the date of file outcome.
  • Only the SINP filing process needs three months old fund. For all other applications, immediate fund will be acceptable.
  • Normally, one gets 5 months to 12 months to go to Canada. The entire family should move to Canada during that period.
  • But, the applicant must go first or with all other family members. Without applicant ; spouse and kids can not be entered in Canada.
  • Majority of our clients have not visited us even once. We have got clients from outside of India who has come through a reference to their friends or relatives who are got to Canada to us. Currently, the entire process is online including the sending of documents, making applications and so on. So, there would be no difference whatsoever even if you are staying outside of Ahmedabad or Outside of India.
  • For us, each client is important whether he stays in Ahmedabad or he stays outside of it.
