The acronym IELTS translates to International English Language Testing System. IELTS is required to be opted for by international students and professionals who wish to study or work in a country where English is the primary language of communication. The United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand are prominent nations where IELTS is recognized for University applications. The IELTS (Academic) test score is required by many Universities and Colleges to gauge the English language proficiency of non-native English speakers. The IELTS (Academic) test consists of four sections: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. The IELTS (Academic) test is available in two versions: Paper-based and Computer-based. As of September 2022, the IELTS (Academic) test in India is conducted by IDP: IELTS Australia. In the traditional Pen-paper version, the test is offered up to four times a month in over 140 countries. The test fee (As of September 2022) is INR 17,000.

Is there any pre-requisite to appear for the IELTS?

No, there is no pre-requisite for the IELTS exam. But, this is a standardized exam for anyone planning to study, work or migrate to an English-speaking country.

What is the validity of my IELTS score?

Your IELTS score will be valid for two years from the date of your test report form.

Can I take the IELTS more than once?

Yes, if you’d like to attempt again to improve your score, you’re welcome to do so.

Which training mode should you use?

You should choose the training mode depending on your location, schedules and target IELTS scores. If you live in a city where our classroom courses are available and can come to the classrooms for the entire course duration, you would be better off with our classroom courses. If you’re aiming for a 7+ band score, you will benefit from our Private Tutoring plan. On the other hand, if you need very little guidance from us and can self-learn, please take advantage of the online course.

Do I need to have the IELTS score at the time of applying to universities and colleges?

Yes, the IELTS band score is a mandatory requirement while applying for admissions.

How will you evaluate speaking and writing tests?

For the speaking test, you will record the answers on your computer or smartphone and upload them to the course portal. For the writing section, you will handwrite your answers on paper, scan and upload them on the course portal for evaluation.

Can I extend my usage hours or course validity?

Yes, you can extend your validity by paying an additional 50% of the course fee. All you need to do is let us know before access to your course expires.
