Hello Everyone,

Being a trainer for several years, I have got to know many easy ways to score well in each of the Module.

As an ielts Trainer,I am often asked by many of my students that how to get good bands in writing.

Well,when I teach them all the essential techniques,then also they feel weak and disappointed particularly in Writing module.

So I tell them ,just keep 4 Cs’ in your mind while writing an Essay.

 Yes, the 4Cs are Conciseness, Cohesion, Coherence and Composition.

Let us commence with Conciseness :

Students often wrongly believe that the longer sentence is more accurate in academic.

Writing longer sentences can become problematic for two reasons.

The first is it increases the chances of errors with coherence.

The second is it makes  more difficult for you to control the grammar of the sentence,leading to silly grammatical mistakes.

So, how long a sentence is must? average words are somewhere between 8 to 15 words including cohesive phrases.

Now, let us have a glance at cohesion.

Cohesion indicates to words and phrases that help ideas link together.

Cohesive phrases include words like… Because of this,As this shows,After analyzing both of views….

I always suggest my students to mug it up these phrases in order to reduce the chances of  grammar error and to save your time.

Now let’s move to our third C which is coherence.

It means all the ideas you put in your essay should be easily understood by the reader.The above cohesive phrases can be helpful in boosting up the coherence in your essay as they clarify your ideas.

Coherence mainly includes words,sentences,and paragraphs.

It is a kind of gadget which connects ideas within each sentence and paragraph.

And yes,sometimes improper sentences and irrevelant ideas can become difficult for the reader due to lack of coherence.

 Now last C,Composition,refers to proper essay structure.

This is very easy to understand.

This  includes Thesis Statement,at least two supporting ideas,real Examples including proper discussion,and finally a kind of summary which is called conclusion.

Essay should contain 15 sentences.
